Today's Belgium is a crossroads where contemporary European history is being made. But though Brussels is the host of the European Union and NATO, there is still plenty of history woven into this ancient city with its wonderful museums, great pubs and restaurants, and beautiful architecture. Don't forget to try the tastes of Belgium—its famous chocolate and beer.

If you have time, visit Brugge and walk it's cobblestone streets, or shop for diamonds in Antwerp. We recommend an excursion south, through the famous Ardennes, a mysterious landscape of deep hills and valleys. If you have time, continue on to Luxembourg.
